01  /  The brand

A home brand built
the way we build
everything.

Maison Germar is our home and décor brand. It started around tufted rugs — the single piece that does the most to set the character of a room, and the one most often bought on price alone.

Everything behind it comes from inside Germar: the product specification, the supplier relationships, the brand system, the marketplace operation and the technology that runs it.

03  /  The experience

One brand,
from listing to living room.

A customer meets the brand three times: on a marketplace page, in a box, and on their floor. If any of those feels like a different company, the brand is not real.

The photography, the listing, the packaging and the unboxing are designed together, so what arrives is what was promised.

04  /  How Germar built it

Five decisions
that made the brand.

  1. 01

    The gap

Home textiles are where design and consistency stop as soon as price gets competitive. A rug sets the character of a room and is still the piece most people buy on price and regret.

  2. 02

    The product

Specified properly rather than sourced blind: pile depth, backing, washability and colour that survives a wash. Built as a collection with room to extend, not as a one-off listing.

  3. 03

    The brand

A French-inflected name and a colourway system — Sand Noir, Rouge Noir — so the range reads as one brand instead of a set of unrelated products.

  4. 04

    The channel

Built for the marketplace it sells in: listing architecture, imagery, A+ content and search terms treated as part of the product, not an afterthought.

  5. 05

    The operation

Sourcing, quality control, inventory, fulfilment and the systems behind them all sit inside Germar. Nothing about the brand was outsourced.
